Technologies Announces Successful Integration
of
Epsilon with Luckins Electrical Distributors Database
Accurate, cost-effective product and price data now
available to wholesalers using Epsilon

UK based software provider,
Stanford Technologies Limited, has today announced that its
flagship Epsilon Business Software for Wholesalers has been
successfully integrated with business information provider
TSI Luckins Electrical Distributors Database. Detailed validation of the integration
was carried out by both Stanford and Luckins' personnel at
Luckins' Lincolnshire headquarters.
Luckins
Electrical Distributors Database is designed for wholesalers, and
distributors who require a wide choice of manufacturers and
electrical installation products. A comparable range of data
services is also available for contractors.
Epsilon
is a PC-based software solution which enables a
wholesaler/distributor to run their business successfully on
a PC. Epsilon can now store information about the hundreds
of thousands of Luckins items in a computer-based
Information Repository. This Information Repository may be
simply and accurately updated with the numerous changes
which occur daily, in the electrical industry, for example,
in minutes. Subsequently, the individual branches of the
organisation can be automatically updated from the
Information Repository with accurate product and pricing
information supplied by Luckins.
Epsilon's Information Repository Update
module provides the user with a greatly simplified summary
of changes, made in the form of a Luckins Bulletin File. The
user can easily view this file to determine whether or not
the changes would have a significant impact on the business
and may, subsequently, investigate the more detailed report
via the “Update Log”.
“The combination of the
Luckins product and pricing information,
together with Epsilon's core functionality, results in a
situation whereby the value of the whole is far greater than
the sum of its components,” said Jack Hassall, Technical
Director, Stanford Technologies.
Stanford has also
developed a sophisticated, yet simple and easy to use, Stock
Selector Component (SSC) which allows the user to rapidly
select and transfer stock item information to designated
branches with the “always up to date” Luckins information
stored in the Information Repository. The SSC can help the
user to quickly and easily build a stock file for a new or
manually administrated branch, or extend a pre-existing one.
Stanford has extensively modified Epsilon's core behaviour
in order to accommodate Epsilon users who wish to make use
of the information provided by Luckins. Epsilon now supports
Luckins Trade Prices
1-4; Split Pack Price; and Retail Price, as well as the
attendant Price Break Quantities and Price Regulators.
